Australian Soprano Lauren Fagan is a recent graduate of the
Royal Opera House Jette Parker Young Artist Programme.
Lauren will make her role debut as Violetta in Opera Holland Park's
new production of La traviata and join Leonard Slatkin in Lyon for Grieg’s Peer Gynt with the Orchestre national de Lyon.
She will later return to the Royal Opera to sing Woglinde in Der Ring des Nibelungen under Sir Antonio Pappano.
Lauren makes her Welsh National Opera debut as Musetta in La bohème and her
Opera Holland Park debut as Donna Anna.
Later in the year she will debut as Roxana in Krol Roger with Accademia Nationale di Santa Cecilia and as Agnès in Written on Skin with Melos Sinfonia in the UK and Russia.
She will also join the NHK Orchestra under Paavo Järvi singing Donna Elvira in concert performances of Don Giovanni.
In ROH 2015/16 season Lauren has been cast as Ines Il trovatore, Theban Woman Oedipe,
Suor Genovieffa Suor Angelica, Amante Il tabarro,
Lila The Firework Maker's Daughter and Muse Orfeo.
She will cover the roles of Susanna Le nozze di Figaro, Antigone Oedipe,
Sophie Werther and Laoula L'étoile.
Lauren will sing for Welsh National Opera's Spellbound Concert in Torbay.
Lauren will sing the soprano solo for the Royal Ballet's 'Woolf Works'.
Royal Ballet Resident Choreographer Wayne McGregor presents a new full-length work, based on the life and writings of modernist icon Virginia Woolf.
In the 2014/15 ROH season Lauren has been cast as Oskar Un ballo in maschera, Papagena Die Zauberflöte, Girl Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny and
Giulia in Rossini's La scala di seta.
She will cover the roles of Musetta La boheme, Gianetta L'elisir d'amore and Jemmy Guillaume Tell.
Lauren will be covering the role of Annina La Traviata as part of the Glyndebourne Festival.
Lauren has been selected into The Jette Parker Young Artist Programme at
The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden
Lauren is delighted to have been offered a place in the Glyndebourne Festival Chorus for 2014.
